Frequently Asked Questions Q. Do you offer an installation service. A. We can help install the kitchen if you live in London, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, West/East Sussex, Middlesex and some neighbouring counties. We also work with fitters around the country and may be able to recommend a fitter. Or we will work with you to design and make your furniture so that you or your trusted fitter/builder can install it with the minimum of fuss. Q. Can you paint the furniture for me? A. Our painted furniture range can be delivered unfinished and ready for priming, undercoating and painting on site. If you would like us to paint your kitchen for you then we can do this at an additional cost. Priming costs an additional 5%, undercoating 10% and top coating 25%. These prices are not cumulative. Q. How complicated is the installation of the units? A. All our units are supplied ready assembled. The installation of the units is no more complicated than a normal kitchen and can be accomplished by an average DIYer. However, we do remind you that the installation of gas requires a CORGI registered engineer and now the installation of electrics also requires a fully qualified and certified electrician. Q. Do you have a showroom? A. We have a showroom attached to the workshop. It operates restricted hours and more details are available in the Showrooms page. We can also arrange showroom viewings and a personal design service by appointment. Q. Do you have a design service? A. Yes we do offer a design service so contact us with your requirements and we can get back to you with our ideas. Q. Can you make things to a different size? A. Yes, usually. We do have some restrictions either based on materials or logistics. If the doors become too large they can warp so we have a restriction on the size of the doors that we are willing to make. Also if we make the furniture too big we may not be able to get it into your home! Q. How long does it take to make my furniture? A. We usually can turn furniture around in six weeks from an order. Q. What are your payment terms? A. We ask for a 25% deposit when you place your order then the remaining 75% on delivery of the furniture. If we are installing your furniture then the installation charge is payable on successful installation. Q. What forms of payment do you accept? A. We take a cheque, bank transfer (BACS) and most major credit cards. Credit card payments carry a 2% surcharge. Q. How much does it cost to deliver? A. For each mile in delivery distance from our workshop we charge up to £2. We calculate the distance using Google maps. For orders over £5,000 we will reduce the delivery charge by £100. For smaller orders sometimes we can combine customer deliveries to reduce costs. We usually do single person deliveries and need assistance at the destination. We can supply more assistance if required at additional cost. Q. Why do you not charge for greater widths and heights? A. We generally do not charge different amounts for different widths, heights or depths of furniture. So a 352mm wide single door base unit will cost the same as a 543mm wide single door base unit. Q. I have a different question not answered here! A. Contact us with your question and we will get back to you!
